Who we are
This website belongs to Luzena Restaurant & Cafe, 315 El Cajon Blvd, El Cajon, CA 92020. You can reach us on +1 619-499-5779 or in person at the restaurant.
This page explains what information the website collects and what we do with it.
Visiting the website
You can read the whole website without telling us who you are. There are no visitor accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools on it, and the website itself sets no cookies.
Like every website, our servers and the companies that host them receive your device's internet address and basic technical details when a page loads. We use these only to deliver the site and to keep it secure.
Our website does not follow you across other websites, so it does not behave differently when your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.
The map and links to other services
The map on the home page and the location page is provided by Google Maps. It loads when you scroll near it. When it does, Google receives your device's internet address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy.
Links to Instagram, to Google Maps and to online ordering take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. Online orders and payments are handled by Clover on Clover's own pages. We do not see or store your card details.
Applying for a job
If you apply through the Join Our Team page, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email address and phone number; the position you are applying for; whether you want full-time or part-time work, when you could work and when you could start; your experience; whether you are legally authorized to work in the United States; anything you write about yourself; and your resume or CV, if you choose to attach one.
We use this only to consider you for work at the restaurant and to contact you about your application. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for marketing.
Your application can be read only by the people at the restaurant who are responsible for hiring, after they sign in. When an application arrives, a short notice with your name, your contact details, the position and your answers to the multiple-choice questions is emailed to the restaurant's hiring inbox. Your resume and what you wrote in your own words are not included in that email.
Applications are stored with our hosting provider, Supabase, on servers in the United States. Resumes are kept in private storage and cannot be reached through a public link. The notice is sent through our email provider, Resend. To protect the form from misuse we also keep a scrambled record of the internet address an application was sent from, which cannot be turned back into the address.
How long we keep applications
We keep an application, and any resume sent with it, for 90 days after you apply. After that both are deleted, together with our notes on the application.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete your application before the 90 days are up. Call us on +1 619-499-5779 or ask at the restaurant, and we will do it.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
